Electrical insulation
Applications:
Nonwovens are mainly used in 2- or 3-ply laminates bonded to one or both sides of polyester film for the production of flexible insulation materials. While the film contributes the electrical and mechanical properties, the nonwoven guarantees a good impregnating capacity and protection of the film. By establishing the bond, the tear strength is increased, the folding and punching quality is improved and the film protected against the harmful effects caused by oxidation and hydrolyses. All the requirements for multi layer insulation materials are set out in IEC norm 626.
Advantages:
* Low moisture regain
* Good impregnation
* Smoothness of the surface
* Adding extra tear strength
Products:
* TS range, thermobonded smooth calandred nonwoven
* TFR range, thread reinforced nonwoven
* TE range, spot bonded nonwoven
